What is mobile concierge physical therapy?

Mobile concierge PT means I bring the physical therapy clinic to YOU. This typically means treating you in your home however, another agreed upon location like an office or outside is possible. By keeping our practice small, we are able to provide frequent check-ins via phone or email to ensure you are on track to meeting your goals. We remain up to date on the latest research to allow you get better, faster.

Is this the same as home health physical therapy?

No. We are considered outpatient physical therapy. You do not need to be homebound to utilize our services. We come to you simply as a convenience and cost savings to you.

Do I need to have any exercise equipment?

No. We utilize a combination of items around the house and bring anything else we might need including a treatment table, weights, balance equipment, TheraBand, etc. We are able to adapt exercises based off items you already have in the home.

What is the difference between physical therapy and wellness services?

Physical therapy services encompass rehabilitation from an injury or illness that causes you to have difficulty performing everyday activities (i.e. walking, rolling over in bed, getting in / out of the car, reaching up into your cabinets, etc.). Wellness services are provided when there’s no specific issue and you would simply like to gain strength, endurance and/or flexibility. Wellness services are also provided to allow you to either return to your sport or as performance enhancement in your sport.

How long are the physical therapy sessions?

Most in-person sessions will be 60 minutes of 1:1 time with a physical therapist to address all your concerns and needs.

Is mobile PT only for people who have trouble leaving their home?

No. Mobile PT makes physical therapy appointments more convenient to you. This might mean not missing any time from work by having your session during a lunch break. It could also mean not having to bring your child to an appointment or finding childcare for so you can go to PT. If you care for a spouse or parent during the day, you don’t have to miss out on your own PT appointments or general wellness sessions.

What areas of Vermont do you cover?

We are based out of Stowe, VT and service the nearby communities. If you are outside of this area, give us a call and we may be able to work something out.

Do you offer telehealth options?

Yes, after an in-person initial evaluation, we offer telehealth services for those who would benefit from the service and are located in Vermont.

What do lymphedema services entail?

We offer complete decongestive therapy including manual lymphatic drainage, exercises, compression therapy, advice in appropriate skin care and education by a certified lymphedema therapist.

My house is a mess, do I need to clean up before you come over?

Absolutely not! As long as we have a small space available, we will be able to perform all necessary treatments. As a mom of 3 boys and owner of 2 dogs, I can assure you I am well accustomed to messes!
